Privacy and cookies

Last updated on 18 September 2026

This website is published by Societas Lucae. We keep things simple and collect as little as possible.

What we collect

  • Membership form. When you fill in our membership form, the data you provide (name, contact details, country, studies or specialty) is stored in Google Forms and used only to get in touch with you and to connect you with your national group and our communication channels.
  • E-mail. If you write to us, we keep your message to answer you.
  • Audience measurement. With your consent only, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (pages viewed, country, device type). See the cookies section below.

Cookies

The site itself sets no cookie. Google Analytics is loaded only after you click “Accept” in the cookie banner; if you decline or ignore the banner, nothing is loaded and no cookie is set.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets the cookies _ga and _ga_* (lifetime up to 2 years) to distinguish visitors. IP addresses are anonymised and we do not use advertising features. Google may process this data on servers outside the European Union; see the Google privacy policy.

Your choice is remembered in your browser. You can change it at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page, or by deleting the cookies in your browser.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Netlify. Netlify may record technical data such as IP addresses in its server logs; see the Netlify privacy policy.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us at any time to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to withdraw your consent, by writing to societas.lucae@gmail.com.
